Getting it right
Corrections and standards
How stories are credited, dated and labelled on this site, and what happens when we get something wrong.
How every story is presented
- A byline on every story, linked to the writer's page with their background. See the masthead.
- A published date on every story, and an updated date when a story changes after it goes up.
- Partners are labelled. Ads and partner spots are marked as such, and partners do not see or approve stories before they are published. See the sponsorship disclosure.
- Original work. Stories on this site are written by the Coming In Hot crew, not pulled from somewhere else.
Corrections policy
When a story has a factual error, we correct it as soon as the error is confirmed.
Every correction is noted at the foot of the story, with the date and what changed.
Tell us about a mistake
Email CIHsens@gmail.com with a link to the story and what you think is wrong. A source or a link that shows the correct information helps us fix it faster.
