BIG WIN. HUGE LOSS.

About this episode

The Ottawa Senators opened the 2026-27 season with a 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs in Toronto, but the victory came with a major concern. Jake Sanderson left the game after just six shifts after aggravating the lower-body injury that bothered him through training camp. Head coach Travis Green says Sanderson pulled himself before making it significantly worse. With Sanderson gone, we take a look at who stepped up.

Wally, Yorkie and Graeme break down the Sens’ season-opening win, including Thomas Chabot’s two-point debut as captain, Stephen Halliday’s game-winner and Linus Ullmark’s 27-save performance.

And we get you set for Monday night as the Sens head to Boston to face the Bruins.
